The Civic is a community project for West Point. An abandoned and vacant National Guard Armory was turned into a civic center for the community and was a joint project of the City of West Point and Clay County. This popular meeting hall is used regularly by the people of the community for dances, weddings, receptions, meetings, the annual Howlin’ Wolf Festival, and many other things.
The 400 seat civic center is equipped with stage lighting, sound, a food prep area, and plenty of parking. It is available to lease for dances, concerts, business events, weddings, and other large gatherings. Your group is certain to find “The Civic” on 6th Street an excellent location!
