Mr. Wren was with the 38th Division when it invaded Luzon in the Philippines. On Febuary 12, 1945, he was reported Missing in Action, but later his family was notified by the War Department that he had been Killed in Action in Luzon. He had lived on the Pete Barkemeyer Place, in the Siloam Community of Clay County, with an uncle, C.A. Wren, and brothers Corporal Charles Wren, Rather Dalton Wren, and sisters Nellie and Margaret.
