Mr. Randle was born in West Point, Mississippi on September 2, 1947. He was a life-long resident of West Point where he attended Fifth Street Junior High School and West Point High School.

He was inducted into the Army in August, 1967 and was sent to Vietnam in January, 1968. On May 7, 1968, Private Randle was killed in action in Vietnam when he was hit by an exploding mortar shell. He was 20 years old. He was one of two West Point men killed in action in a single week.

His body was returned to the United States on May 19, 1968 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point.
