Mr. Lee was born on May 4, 1924. Nicknamed "Tootie" he attended West Point High School and enlisted in the Navy on July 1, 1942. He entered service in New Orleans as an Apprentice Seaman and was sent to San Diego, California Naval Training Center. In August, 1942 he returned home on leave and told friends he was ready to see action.

The family last heard from him on November 20, 1945. On January 5, 1945, the Navy declared the 20 year old Seaman Missing In Action in the Pacific Theater of Operations. His family was notified on March 2, 1945 that he had been killed in action and his body was buried on an Allied held island in the Pacific until the end of the war.

Mr. Lee is buried in the Greenwood Cemetary in West Point, MS.
