Mr. Fox was born on August 8, 1923. He entered the service in May 1943, and was sent overseas in November 1943. During World War II, he served with the 157th Infantry, 45th Division. He was killed in action on May 7, 1944 in Italy at the age of 19 years.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma H. Fox, who was living in Starkville, Mississippi, at the time of his death, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Fox, of West Point, Mississippi.

At the time of his death, he had two brothers in the service, Private First Class James H. Fox, stationed in England, and Private First Class Robert M. Fox, stationed in the South Pacific. Also, at home were three small brothers and one sister, in West Point.

Private Fox's body was returned to the States and is burried in Greenwood Cemetery, Section A-2, Lot 22.
