Mr. Edwards was the son of Mr. Walker Edwards, Sr. of Clay County, Mississippi. Having comleted his basic training, Private Edwards was scheduled to be shipped out to overseas duty. Prior to his departure, he was at home on leave where he was killed in an automobile accident.
