Mr. Brady was born on August, 1919, in West Point, Mississippi to Stacy Scott Brady and Nell Hurst Brady. He attended West Point schools from 1925 until graduation in 1937.

After graduation from high school, he attended Mississippi State College, where he was enrolled in the Army ROTC program. He later left school for work in a California defense factory, and subsequently where he later joined the Army.

After training, he was moved through the U.S. Army Replacement Depot in Noumea, New Caledonia, into the 169th Infantry Regiment.

He participated in combat operations during the Allied invasion of the Philippines under the command of General Douglas MacAuthur, and was killed in action on Luzon Island, in the Philippines, on May 5, 1945.
